Davidson’s Promotes Eric Mueller to Buyer
PRESCOTT, Ariz. – (ArmsVault.com) – Davidson’s is pleased to announce Eric Mueller as one of its newest buyers. Eric began working for Davidson’s as an account executive where he quickly became a top-performer. In early 2015, he was promoted to a sales coach position where he helped account executives develop their sales techniques, service skills, and understanding of the company’s internal order placement. Due to his excellence as a sales coach and his performance during his first eight years with Davidson’s, the company felt he was an ideal candidate for one of its buyer positions.
Matt Nicholson, Davidson’s vice president of sales, stated, “We search for opportunities to promote from within, Eric is a perfect example of that. A Davidson’s veteran account executive for seven of his eight years with the company, he was promoted earlier in the year to sales coach and has now moved into the buying role. We look forward to seeing how his expertise in product knowledge will positively impact our purchasing team.”
Eric’s previous role as a sales coach allowed him to establish strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and consumers which gives him a unique perspective into the interaction between supply and demand within the firearms industry. Eric’s skills will help him be successful in coordinating product promotion, trend analysis, budgeting, and strategic development as it relates to his new role.
Eric is very involved in the outdoor industry. He is an active member of the NRA and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) where he has served as chapter chairman for Prescott, Arizona for the past five years. He has worked on habitat reconstruction and water catchments, and led multiple shooting area clean-ups, youth shooting safety courses, and runs the Big Game Banquet for the RMEF Prescott chapter. Prior to joining the Davidson’s team, he worked in the outdoor power sports industry selling 4-wheelers, side-by-sides and dirt bikes. Eric is looking forward to his new role and feels that his love of firearms and the outdoors will keep him passionate about his work. He hopes to “build some great relationships, make some new friends and mentors” in his new role as a Davidson’s buyer.
