The PT 92 has been a cornerstone firearm for Taurus since 1980, when the company acquired the entirety of Italian firearm manufacturer Beretta’s Sao Paulo operation. This acquisition included the technical specifications, tooling, and machinery Beretta used to make the Beretta Model 92. Since then, Taurus has continued to refine the military-pattern 92 semi-auto pistol with several design upgrades to meet the safety and performance needs of civilian shooters.
The new Brazilian walnut grip models represent the latest iteration of this renowned semi-auto. The rich variations in the wood’s tone, depth, and distinguished grain patterns give each pistol a unique, custom look and aesthetic finish. Available in 9mm Luger chamber, the pistols are built on drop-hammer-forged alloy frames in either matte black or natural anodized finish for maximum durability and strength. The alloy steel and stainless-steel slide models are offered in black matte or matte stainless finishes, respectively, with both featuring 5-inch barrels and 17-round capacity.
