Shooting Industry December Primes Dealers For 2019 Business
(ArmsVault.com) – With the first of two 2019 New Business Year Editions, Shooting Industry’s December 2018 issue is filled with exclusive features to prepare dealers/range operators for the year ahead — punctuated by the expansive 2019 New Product Showcase, presenting products from 96 brands.
In “Talking Points Of 2018,” dealers share their insights on how to stand out from big-box and online retailers, why an online presence can create additional revenue streams and the importance of excelling in customer service.
“We always want the customer to feel like she’s the most important person in the room, because she is. I don’t pay my employees; the customer pays my employees. Without customers, I don’t have a shop,” noted Evan Reynolds, owner of LeadFeather Guns & Archery in Winter Haven, Fla.
Doug VanderWoude, managing partner of Point of Impact Group, lends his expertise to range owners in “Keep Ringing The Till.” VanderWoude delivers ways to increase range profits across the board — from programs designed to boost firearm, safety gear and accessories’ sales to enhancing the range “experience” and cleverly promoting your business on social media. “Now’s a good time to remember you’re not just in the gun business or training sphere. You’re also in the entertainment business,” he lends.
Other notable features of the issue include Part One of Shari LeGate’s two-part series on social video marketing, and the ease of harnessing its global reach with localized content customers will appreciate. NASGW President Kenyon Gleason discusses changes affecting the industry, and how its wholesaler members are staying up-to-date with current trends in the channel. “Gear up” for SHOT Show 2019 with a preview of what’s in store at the 41st annual trade event. Rounding out the year’s final issue, the 2019 New Product Showcase spans 25 pages with nearly 100 companies’ products sure to boost early-year sales.
