FN PRO TEAM’S SEVIGNY ACHIEVES PRODUCTION TITLE AT STEEL CHALLENGE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
(McLean, VA – August 31, 2016) – (ArmsVault.com) – FN America, LLC, is pleased to announce that FN Pro Team captain, Dave Sevigny, bested the Production Division at the 2016 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championship, earning the title of Production Champion and taking ninth place, overall, with the FNS™-9 Longslide pistol. The match, held Aug. 25 – 27, 2016, in San Luis Obispo, California, brought some of the most talented steel shooters in the world to compete over 8 stages with nearly 200 rounds down range.
Coming off a hectic travel schedule, Sevigny had no time for the typical practice most competitors have beforehand and shot the match completely cold, scoring an impressive 90.58 points in Production class. “The final was close with only 2.32 seconds separating the top three shooters,” said Sevigny. “I feel very fortunate, given the circumstances, to have won Production division against such talent. This is a great win for my team and for the FNS pistol.”
According to Sevigny, “[he’s] posted better scores with this pistol overall than any other iron sight pistol [he’s] competed with in the past.” The Steel Challenge World Championship marks the 11th major win for Sevigny and the FNS™-9 Longslide pistol this year and the second major win at this match for the pair.
