For the last two weeks I’ve carried my Smith & Wesson Shield in a Standard IWB Holster from Wicked Holsters. That holster, which has performed very well, attaches to the waistband via a 1.5 inch injected molded clip. This type of clip is what I have predominately used, with no complaints, over the last few years.
Today I decided to switch things up a bit with another holster offered by the same company. Once again, it is a Standard IWB Holster from Wicked Holsters, but this model features the Ulticlip, which seems to be a very popular option nowadays. Based on some of the reviews I’ve seen, the Ulticlip seems to provide a great level of retention, while offering some carry options that regular clips can’t. So, over the next few weeks I’ll not only be evaluating the Wicked Holsters Standard IWB Holster, but also the Ulticlip. Stay tuned for updates.
