Apex’s Scott Folk Takes Revolver Title At Berry’s Steel Open
LOS OSOS, Calif. – (ArmsVault.com) – Rocking his Apex custom tuned Smith & Wesson Model 627 revolver, Scott Folk of Team Apex took the Revolver title at the Berry’s Steel Open this past weekend.
Hosted at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range in St. George, Utah, the Berry’s Steel Open combines the three distinct disciplines of action steel, par-time steel and steel challenge into one 18 stage match.
Folk won all three events in the match to finish with a perfect score of 300.000. Earlier this season, Folk finished 1st A class and second overall in the Revolver division at the USPSA Area 2 Desert Classic and 1st Master in the Revolver division at the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals.
“The Berry’s Steel Open is three matches in one and particularly challenging when shot with an iron sight revolver,” explained Folk. “Luckily for me all three parts of the match came together to give me a solid final score allowing me to bring home the title.”
Also competing in the match were Team Apex shooters Maddy Folk, Scott’s wife, who finished in sixth place, Matt Theiss who placed ninth and Laurel Yoshimoto in 12th, all with a revolver. In the Single Stack division, Randy Lee placed sixth.
