Over the last several months, my wife and I have been testing the Glock 43 and S&W Shield. Our goal has been to determine which pistol each of us prefer for concealed carry.
During our testing (which is still ongoing), we have both changed our minds more than once as to which pistol we prefer. Both are great options for concealed carry, and both have advantages over the other. That being said, we both agree that the Glock 43 is the most concealable of the two. And that is what ultimately led to her recent decision to begin carrying the G43.
Once she decided to begin consistently carrying the Glock 43, it was time to select a holster. Because of her job, she needed a slim IWB holster that she could easily take on and off throughout the day. In addition, it needed to be compact enough to fit nicely in her purse and the center console in her car. On top of all that, she wanted it to be pink.
After some shopping around, she decided to go with the Profile IWB/AIWB Holster and Echo Mag Carrier from Tulster. All of their Kydex holsters and mag carriers are available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. She chose Carbon Fiber Pink.
When a Tulster holster arrives, you’ll noticed that the Quick Clip and retention screw have not been tightened. This is meant to “remind you” that the cant and retention are adjustable. Tulster recommends that you tighten the clip and retention screw to your desired setting. Then, wear the holster for a few days to confirm that you are happy with your adjustments. When you are sure that you are happy with your holster’s settings, you can apply a non-permanent thread lock (included with your holster) to the adjustment screws. This will ensure that the Quick Clip and retention screw stay in place.
So, is my wife happy with the holster and mag carrier from Tulster? So far, she definitely is. In fact, as soon as she opened the package her first response was: “Wow… This is exactly what I wanted!”
Both the holster and mag carrier seem extremely well made. The edges are nicely buffed, and the finish is great! We’ll report back as my wife gets in some more time with the Profile Holster and Echo Mag Carrier.
Until then, be sure to check out all of the holsters and mag carriers available at Tulster.
