“It was raining so we had to wait a half an hour for the match to even start and by then the stages were covered in mud. I even slipped on one of the stages; luckily, I was able to recover quickly,” said King. He continued, “The Grand Power ran like a beast. I really focused on the front sight for this match and it tracked wonderfully and I was able to drive the gun.”

The Grand Power X-Calibur was designed to win matches out-of-the-box, as is, without needing any modifications. It incorporates next generation technology like a rotating bull barrel that unlike most semi-autos never tilts up and never leaves the target, reducing recoil and increasing second shot accuracy. It has a match grade trigger, adjustable sights, modular replaceable back straps, a scalloped slide that reduces weight and allows the action to cycle faster and a CNC machined steel chassis that provides maximum durability.

“Robert and the X-Calibur continue to impress. This match showed that mud and rain are no match for the reliability and accuracy of the X-Calibur. You’ve always got an edge when you go into a match with Grand Power. I suspect that today’s first place win will be just one of many to come,” remarked Michael Sodini, president of Eagle Imports.

Be sure to watch King as he competes in the USPSA Nationals to be held Aug. 5-9, 2015 in Barry, Illinois. Follow him on Facebook for match updates.
