Midwest Gun Works Offers Lyman Sights

Legendary Lyman Sights for Browning and Winchester Classic Rifles Now Available at MGW online.

Founded in 1879 by William Lyman, the legendary Lyman tang and receiver sights are still produced today with the same attention to quality in materials, design and production.

Lyman No. 2 Tang Sight

The Lyman No. 2 Tang Sight is being stocked by MGW. This sight is available for the Browning or Winchester 1886 models. This classic sight features height index marks on the aperture post and a .800 maximum elevation adjustment. It also has a .093×1/2″ quick-sighting aperture and a .040×5/8″ target disk. The kit includes the entire rear sight assembly and all the necessary mounting screws. Some modification is required to fit the sight to the Browning 1886 models. The Lyman No.2 Tang Sight is available at MGW for $88.50.

MGW is currently stocking the Lyman Receiver Sight. This sight fits Browning and Winchester 1886 and 71 models. It’s an excellent sight that helps a shooter make long shots without the use of optics. An experienced gunsmith will be required to install the sight on the 1886 models, however, no modifications are required on the 71 models and the sight can be installed in minutes. The kit includes the complete reciever sight assembley. The Lyman Browning and Winchester 1886 and 71 sight retails at MGW for $90.95.

MGW is also stocking the Winchester Model 94, Lyman #2 Tang Sight. The sight has been made specifically for the Winchester 1894 rifle and fits all Winchester 94 rifles. The sight is perfect for a back-to-the-basics “open sight” shooter. It offers a larger sight radius that makes aiming at a target easier. The Lyman #2 Tang Sight comes with the screws necessary to mount it. Some modification may be required. The Winchester Model 94, Lyman #2 Tang Sight is for sale at MGW for $59.00.
