Wanamassa, N.J. (October 2014) – Eagle Imports, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Metro Arms, Bersa, Comanche and Grand Power firearms products, is proud to announce their Level 9 Standard Stage Sponsorship at the 2014 International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoot XVII, to be held at the Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Florida October 13th through 19th, 2014.
The World Shoot is the largest event conducted by the IPSC and only occurs every three years. It is a multi-day match comprising of at least 30 separate courses of fire, where the best IPSC shooters from 88 countries around the globe compete for the title of World Champion. The competition consists of five different divisions: Open, Production, Standard, Classic 1911 and Revolver. Within each division there are five different categories: Overall, Lady, Junior, Senior and Super Senior. Approximately 1,800 competitors and officials are expected to attend.
As a level 9 standard stage sponsor, Eagle Imports will have a color advertisement in the Match program booklet, tickets to the award ceremony and banquet, a free slot in the pre-match, three banners on display during the match, an exhibitor booth located in the covered display and sale area at the Sponsor’s Village, logo on the Match website and digital banners on the IPSC website. Eagle Imports will have sample firearms on display from Bersa, Metro and SPS, as well as from its newest line Grand Power, featuring the X-Calibur.
Bersa International Shooting Champion Gastón Quindi Vallerga will be competing at the match using a Bersa Thunder Pro 9 XT, while Metro sponsored shooter Jeufro “Jag” Lejano will be competing using an SPS Pantera. Sponsored competitors for Grand Power competing at the World Shoot XVII include Marian Vysny, Marián Fedor, Stefan Acs and Marius Kazanskis. Several shooters participating at the match have chosen SPS and Grand Power for competitive advantages and will be competing with SPS Pantera and Grand Power X-Calibur models.
