Short Barreled Rifle (SBR):
The term Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) refers to a shoulder-fired rifle with a barrel length of less than 16 inches, or overall length of less than 26 inches. A handgun fitted with a buttstock and a barrel of less than 16 inches length is also classified as a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR).
In the United States, Short Barreled Rifles are regulated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
