Like all suppressors from CZ-USA, the CZ Rimfire Suppressor is all about function dictating form, which is why this suppressor is both lightweight and robust, with no excess bulk.
Simply designed and highly effective, the Rimfire features a patented screw-in baffle system to maximize the use of the tube’s internal capacity. Unlike mono-cores or baffle stacks, there’s no extra material inside the tube taking up valuable capacity which could aid suppression. Not only does this help the Rimfire produce impressively low decibel readings, the screw-in baffle system also translates into lighter weight.
How light? The CZ Rimfire Suppressor tips the scales at a ridiculously low 2.5 ounces. When it comes to suppression per ounce, we’re very confident the CZ Rimfire has no peer!
This minimal weight also preserves the natural balance of a rifle or pistol, unlike some of the heavy, bulky suppressors on the market today.
Built to blend into the heavy cylindrical barrels found on most of CZ’s rimfire Varmint rifles, the CZ Rimfire Suppressor features an external diameter of 0.866-inches and a length of 6.9-inches.
The CZ Rimfire even allows a shooter to tune the baffle system itself to work best with particular loads and calibers. A guide is provided on the assembly/disassembly tool to space the four internal baffles at regular distances. If desired, a user can vary those baffle depths to find the right mix for a specific load.
Rimfire ammunition is relatively dirty compared to its centerfire cousins, but that’s not a problem here as the CZ Rimfire is easy to disassemble for cleaning. CZ-USA recommends a cleaning at every 300 rounds.
The Rimfire can be used on any rimfire round under .224 in diameter, including 17 HMR, 22 LR, 22 WMR, and even 17 WSM. Additionally, it is safe to use with 17 Hornet, 22 Hornet and 5.7×28.
