Hornady Zombies in the Heartland 2019

Hornady® announces dates of 2019 Zombies in the Heartland 3-Gun Match

Grand Island, NE — (ArmsVault.com) – Zombies are preparing to invade Nebraska once again for the Hornady Zombies in the Heartland 3-Gun Match on May 31-June 2 at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island.

Shooters have spoken and want MORE ZOMBIES, so the match directors plan to accommodate their wishes with a fun shooting event that promises to be memorable for everyone from beginner to expert.

Hornady Zombies in the Heartland 2019

New for 2019 is the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) Division, which features AR-15 style firearms chambered in pistol calibers including 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP. This class of firearms platform has taken the competitive action shooting world by storm.

To support this growing segment of action shooting sports, Hornady offers enthusiasts a chance to hone their zombie-hunting prowess in this new, two-gun division, where competitors utilize their PCC in place of handgun and rifle.

Early registration for past competitors opened on Feb. 9. Returning competitors will receive an email with a registration link and more information. General registration opens at 5 p.m. CDT Feb. 13. A sponsor reception will be on May 30 at Riverside Golf Club.

In its eighth year, this popular match will feature 10 competitive stages and five side-match stages. Shooters will find new and reactive targets developed specifically for this match, with most targets breaking, falling over or moving. Participants will be required to compete with a pistol, rifle and shotgun.

With an unusual, challenging course of fire, Zombies in the Heartland typically attracts shooters from across the country and some traveling from outside the United States. With an annual attendance of more than 400 shooters, the event has been sold out each year, so prompt registration is encouraged.

Hotel rooms can be reserved at the Boarders Inn and Suites, 3333 Ramada Road, Grand Island, Neb. Mention Zombies in the Heartland for reduced rates.
