Benelli Expands Super Black Eagle 3 Line with Wood, Slug Options

ACCOKEEK, Md. (January 24, 2018) – (ArmsVault.com) – Hunters may equate the Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 with waterfowl hunting, but it’s bevy of features and easy-handling characteristics make it just as valuable in the pursuit of upland and small game, as well as in the deer woods.

To bring the proven performance and innovation to these hunters, Benelli has expanded the SBE3 with the addition of a wood version and a rifled slug configuration.

Benelli Expands Super Black Eagle 3 Line with Wood and Slug Options

Featuring a satin walnut stock, the wood version of the SBE3 features the Progressive Comfort recoil-reduction system – the same system that buffers recoil in the ETHOS line as well as the R1 Pro. Different from the ComfortTech 3 system used in SBE3s with synthetic stocks, the Progressive Comfort system uses a system of three different layers interlocking fingers housed in the stock. The number of layers that engage are determined by the force of the shotgun’s recoil, which varies with the size of different loads. Developed specifically for use in Benelli models featuring wood stocks, the Progressive Comfort system also incorporates a CombTech pad to help reduce felt recoil on the face.

For deer hunters who live in shotgun-only states, the Super Black Eagle 3 is available in with a fully rifled slug barrel. Like all Benelli slug guns, this new SBE 3 configuration features a drilled and tapped receiver for easy optics mounting, as well as adjustable rear and fixed-blade front sights. Equipped with a 24-inch barrel, the SBE3 with the rifled slug barrel is available in black synthetic with sling-attachment points at the fore end and buttstock.

At the heart of the new SBE3 is the inertia-driven action, which is centered around an Easy Locking System – an enhanced breech-closing system that eliminates the possibility for a shooter-induced stoppage when trying to softly close the bolt or when the shotgun is treated roughly in the blind. And because hardcore hunters don’t stay out of the field in frigid weather, the new SBE3 is designed for easier operation with gloved and/or cold hands.
