Pre-Order New Apex Trigger Kits for the M&P Shield 2.0
PEORIA, Ariz. – (ArmsVault.com) – Apex Tactical Specialties announces new trigger kits for the M&P Shield 2.0 are now available for pre-order. The new products will begin shipping on Monday, February 5.
Dealers and distributors wishing to stock the new trigger kits ahead of the February 5 release can contact Apex at [email protected] or (623) 322-0200 for pricing and quantity availability. Dealers can also place orders through RSR Group and Zanders Sporting Goods.
Owners of the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 will have three options from Apex for improving their pistol’s trigger pull performance. They are the:
- Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit (part# 100-171) – MSRP: $159.95
- Apex Duty/Carry Kit (part# 100-176) – MSRP: $92.95
- Apex Action Enhancement Trigger (part# 100-170) – MSRP: $76.95
The most popular option, by far, is the full Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit. This kit is a combination of both the Apex Duty/Carry Kit for the M&P Shield 2.0 and the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger and reduces pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20% while delivering a smooth, consistent trigger pull that is approximately 1-2 lbs lighter (based on variations in factory tolerances and the combination of springs used) with the advantages of shorter over-travel and shorter trigger reset.
Installing just the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger reduces pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20%. The Apex trigger features a center mounted pivoting safety which maintains factory safety values.
Installing the Apex Duty/Carry Kit, which replaces the factory sear, safety plunger, sear spring and trigger return spring, delivers a smooth, consistent trigger pull that is approximately in the 5.5 lbs range (based on variations in factory tolerances) with the advantages of shorter over-travel and shorter trigger reset.
For those customers that would like to dial-in their trigger pull weight, Apex has published a detailed reference guide. By using a combination of the Apex springs and the factory sear and trigger return springs the user can set the trigger pull weight within a range suitable for duty/carry purposes.
