AGUILA AMMUNITION ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH ALEXIS WELCH

CONROE, TEXAS – May 10, 2016 – (ArmsVault.com) – The minishell isn’t the only powerful, small-scale performer in the Aguila arsenal. Texas Armament & Technology/Aguila Ammunition is pleased to announce their new partnership with up and coming shooter, 8 year-old, Alexis Welch.

“We are excited for our pro-staff team to be expanding, and even more excited to have Alexis be part of it. She is everything we look for in a shooter; enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about the shooting sports,” says Kristi Drawe, Director of Marketing for Aguila Ammunition. “With Alexis’ personality, inspiring story, and her incredible shooting ability, she is exactly what other youth shooters should aspire to be. Right now she is a very new and young shooter at the brink of her shooting career, and we are honored to be part of her journey.”

This is only Alexis’s second year competing. She has recently gained publicity because of her young age, very small size, her amazing shooting ability and great personality.

She’s also a fighter and that’s what a truly good shooter requires – perseverance and focus. Alexis overcame being born deaf. After only shooting for a few years, she started competing and now competes against shooters twice her age. She recently lost her Grandfather Tryce, who introduced her to shooting at the age of 5. He coached her and was by her side for each and every competition until March, when he and Alexis were in an automobile accident. Alexis sprained her shoulder in that accident, and although shooting without Tryce by her side isn’t the same, she is already competing again.

“I’m super excited to join the Aguila team this year! I have been using their .22 ammo for a long time now and I love that it fires great every time I shoot it,” says Alexis. “Having Aguila as a sponsor really helps my shooting career. I look forward to building a lasting relationship with some great people that produce a great product.”

Currently, Welch is competing in Rimfire; open division, limited, 8 stages rifle and 8 stages pistol. She has an interest in also competing in 3-Gun and AR in the future.
