Upgrade Your M&P Shield With Apex Trigger Kits
LOS OSOS, Calif. – (ArmsVault.com) – With over 1 million pistols produced in just a few short years, the M&P Shield is one of the most popular models Smith & Wesson has introduced, and, thanks to three trigger options from Apex Tactical Specialties, one of the most popular concealed carry models available.
Known for designing fire control system upgrades for a variety of Smith & Wesson pistols, including those from the Performance Center, Apex offers drop-in aftermarket trigger kits M&P Shield owners can install themselves.
Apex kits for the M&P Shield directly replace the factory hinged trigger with a solid aluminum trigger body featuring a center mounted pivoting safety that maintains factory safety values. The kits reduce pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20%, and provide the M&P Shield pistol owner a smooth, consistent trigger pull that is approximately 2 lbs lighter (based on variations in factory tolerances) with the advantage of a more detectable trigger reset.
“Our kits for the M&P Shield are among the most popular we offer. In fact, at last year’s NRA Show in Nashville we sold out of Shield kits halfway through the show. Regardless of which option customers go with, nearly all find the Apex upgrade to be a night and day difference over the factory trigger,” said Scott Folk, vice president of Apex.
Apex Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit options for the M&P Shield include:
- Apex Action Enhancement Trigger and Duty/Carry Kit for the M&P Shield (MSRP $159.95)
- Apex Red Anodized Action Enhancement Trigger and Duty/Carry Kit for the M&P Shield (MSRP $164.95)
- Apex Flat-Faced Action Enhancement Trigger and Duty/Carry Kit for the M&P Shield (MSRP $164.95)
While Apex offers full kit options featuring both the Action Enhancement Trigger and the Duty/Carry Kit, the two can be purchased separately and installed independently of each other.
The Duty/Carry Kit for the M&P Shield (MSRP $92.95) reduces trigger pull weight by approximately 2 lbs and delivers a smooth, consistent trigger with shorter over-travel and a more noticeable trigger reset.
The Action Enhancement Trigger for the M&P Shield when installed by itself reduces pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20%. The aluminum body replaces the factory hinged polymer trigger and is available in Black (MSRP $76.95), Red (MSRP $79.95) or Flat-Faced (MSRP $79.95).
