Manufactured in the USA by Hogue, Inc. from designs by world-renowned knife designer Allen Elishewitz, the EX-F03 is a carefully handcrafted, high-quality utility blade capable of handling the toughest of daily tasks. “The EX-F03’s light-weight durable design was created specifically with easy accessibility in mind,” explained Hogue co-owner Jim Bruhns. “After years of manufacturing folding and fixed blade knives of unmatched quality, it was a natural extension to offer a utility knife built with the same attention to detail.”
Available in two styles, the neck knife and as a utility knife with scales, the EX-F03 is a light-weight tool for those on-the-go. The neck knife is designed to be worn around the neck and shoulder using the supplied paracord making for easy accessibility during hunting, fishing, hiking or simply working around the house. The G10 scales model is also made for around the neck wear, but also can be worn on the belt. Its mini-piranha grip textured G10 scales are available in Hogue’s patented G-Mascus® purple material as well as a solid black G10 option. The textured scales, along with a precision machined finger hole at the base of the knife, provide for unmatched gripability.
The knives are offered in both hawkbill and clip point blades cut from 154 CM stainless steel that has been heat treated to RC 57-59, cryogenically treated then hand-sharpened and honed. The hollow ground beveled blades produce a devastatingly sharp edge that can be resharpened repeatedly without increasing edge thickness. With its serrated thumb ramp and finger detent, the EX-F03 is ready for comfortable everyday carry.
All EX-F03 neck knives deliver with a form-fitted black aerospace polymer sheath. Designed for wear around the neck with its paracord and retainer, the sheath is slim enough to be tucked between the belt and mag pouches for a knife option in Law Enforcement applications. In addition to the neck knife sheath, G10 scale models ship with an ambidextrous automatic retention sheath. Created to be belt-worn, this sheath gives the user the ability to lock the knife into the sheath until the moment of need. A quick push of the retention lever releases the knife for a swift deployment.
