Magnum Research® Sponsors NSSF Rimfire Challenge World Championship™
Greeley, PA – (ArmsVault.com) – For the second consecutive year, Kahr Firearms Group is proud to be a Category Sponsor of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge World Championship. The event will take place at the Old Fort Gun Club in Fort Smith, AR on October 9-11.
The family-friendly championship event invites both novice and experienced shooters alike to compete in the rimfire pistol and rifle stages. There are 14 stages in total and competitors will need 700 rounds of rimfire ammunition to complete all 14 stages.
Magnum Research has donated two rifles for the Rimfire Challenge World Championship. The first, a MLR22ATUT is a 22LR rifle featuring the new Ultra Barrel. This 18-1/2” long, high-tech, modular tensioned-type barrel took Magnum Research over a year to develop and is extraordinary accurate, in part, because of the patented heat sink located inside the barrel. The MLR22ATUT measures 36-5/8” in length and weighs less than 5 pounds. This model can also accommodate a suppressor and has muzzle threads of ½ x 28. Other features include: 1 in 16 twist, Bentz chamber, a black polymer ambidextrous thumbhole stock design with a comb designed for scopes, integral Weaver-type scope mount base on the receiver, and an extended magazine release. MSRP on the rifle is $596.00.
The second rifle donated by Magnum Research is the MLR22WMBW. This .22 Win Mag rifle offers a patented gas-assisted blowback operation which taps a small amount of gas through an orifice hole in the barrel. This rifle features a 19” barrel, an overall length of 37.5” and weighs less than 5 pounds. The integral rail can accommodate Weaver style rings for optics. The ambidextrous thumbhole stock is made from superior quality American Black Walnut giving it an opulent look and feel. The MSRP on the MLR22WMBW is $941.
