Real World Tactical debuts R.I.P. system with the RP2 pouch

Aug, 4th 2015: (Miami, FL) – (ArmsVault.com) – Real World Tactical, a trailblazer in firearms, self-defense, and combat fitness training has officially announced its newest product; The Retention Improvised Pouch (R.I.P.). The R.I.P. is the solution to a problem that has presented itself time after time in many high threat operations, and training classes worldwide. How to have solid retention of your magazines, while still allowing for a fast (and seamless) draw. After analyzing countless scenarios, and the load outs that were used in those operations, Tony Sentmanat (Real World Tactical CEO) found a revolutionary way to aid these warfighters. He created the Cross-Cord Retention System, and found a way to bridge the gap between security and speed. With the Cross-Cord Retention System, the pouches are held in place via a Hypalon backed bungee cord tab. The tab reaches over to the highest point on the magazine to create leverage and hold the magazine firmly in place. Once a shooter reaches across the top of the magazine, and slips the tab off to one side, the bungee will immediately pull down the tab allowing access to the magazine.

Most conventional magazine pouches fall into two categories: Closed top or Open top. Closed top: With this design you have a security flap that drapes over the front of the pouch, and is secured with Velcro. This will give you security, but will severely hinder your draw speed, and create unnecessary noise. This system has been in service since the late 1990’s, and is still being used by units worldwide. Open top: This design, the more recent concept, is currently very popular in the commercial market. It is fast, yet offers little to no retention. All too often soldiers, police officers, and civilian trainees can be seen running live fire drills all while placing a hand over their pouches to keep their magazines from flying out. The Cross-Cord Retention System bridges the gap between both methods without sacrificing reliability or security. With Real World Tactical’s operational history, and attention to detail these pouches will be sure to question how things have been done.

The Real World Tactical R.I.P. RP2 accommodates all NATO STANAG style rifle magazines, and most conventional pistol magazines. The RP2 comes with 1 dual magazine pouch, and two Molle Sticks. MSRP for the RP2 is $38.95, and can be purchased immediately from www.ShellbackTactical.com , www.Armour-Wear.com, and www.RealWorld-Tactical.com
