USCCA Concealed Carry Expo

Inaugural USCCA Concealed Carry Expo Scheduled for
May 8-10, 2015 in West Bend, Wisconsin

Looking for firearms information, training, and equipment?  With a comprehensive lineup of retailers, manufacturers, and “living classroom” seminars, the USCCA Concealed Carry Expo promises to deliver services, support, and solutions for experiencing and embracing the concealed-carry lifestyle.  The inaugural, industry-leading event, which will be held, this weekend, May 8-10, 2015, at the Washington County Fair Park in West Bend, Wisconsin, will feature an information-packed, three-day consumer show with technical sessions, demonstrations, concealed-carry fashion show, live-fire shooting range, and world-class guest speakers participating in a dynamic variety of programs.

“We’ll have booths, vendors, and trainers so guests can get their hands on new CCW products and wrap their minds around all the information we can pack into the event,” stated Kevin Michalowski, executive editor of Concealed Carry Magazine.  “Holster makers, gun makers, and CCW apparel and accessory makers will all be present, as well.”

Also on site will be a live-fire range where adult guests will have the opportunity to test out firearms provided by various sponsors.  For a small fee, participants will receive shooting instruction and feel what it’s like to fire the pistol of their choice.

Show attendees will be encouraged to select from an extensive program of training classes and seminars.  For instance, nationally known firearms instructor Dave Young will be providing three skill-building, defensive-handgun sessions. Each three-hour class can be taken separately, at $50 per session, or altogether, for $99.  As well, two WI concealed carry permit classes will be offered to participants for $75 (or for free, if you’re a mom who wants to take the women’s-only session on Mother’s Day).

Other guests speakers will include James Yeager with his presentation, “Warrior: Mind, Body, and Spirit,” and USCCA’s Chief Instructor, Michael Martin, with two presentations: one on school shootings and another on distance learning in the firearms community.  USCCA contributing writer Beth Alcazar will present “Concealed Carry For Moms: Breaking The Mold;” combat veteran Anthony Lambert will talk about first aid topics for the gun owner; and George Harris, co-founder of the SIG Academy and president and CEO of International Firearms Consultants, will discuss training fundamentals for defensive shooters.

“All of these information sessions are absolutely free with your paid admission to the Expo,” Michalowski explained. “Our goal is to provide anyone interested in self-defense and personal protection the best possible information and training.  Keeping responsibly armed Americans well informed is the basis of firearms safety and personal freedom.  And we intend to do this in a fun, family-friendly environment!”

In addition to training seminars and aisles of great products and information, the Concealed Carry Expo will host a fashion show Saturday night from 6-8 p.m.  This unique and highly anticipated event will showcase new designs in concealed-carry fashions and accessories for both men and women.  The keynote speaker for this special, ticketed event is Milwaukee County’s own Sheriff David Clarke, Jr.

The three-day Expo is open 3-7 p.m. on Friday, May 8; 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 9; and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 10.  USCCA members can present their membership card along with picture ID for free entry.  Tickets for the limited-seating Concealed Carry Fashion Show are $15, each, and general admission is $8, per day, with combo tickets available for $20-$30.  Participants may also register in advance online for classes and seminars.

The location of the Expo, the Washington County Fair Park, is located 35 minutes from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, with easy access to Madison, Appleton, Green Bay, and Chicago.
