Comp-Tac’s Gordon Carrell Sweeps at IDPA Pan American Championship
HOUSTON, Texas – With the best overall time of any competitor, 279.44 seconds, Team Comp-Tac‘s Gordon Carrell swept the competition at the IDPA Pan American Championship taking the Enhanced Service Pistol division title as well as High Industry and Most Accurate Shooter honors. The match took place March 26-28 in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
“Traveling outside the continental U.S. to compete often brings in completely different set of challenges and that’s true of the IDPA Pan American which featured a very complex course of fire that included lots of different shooting positions, moving targets and varied scenarios. Over the two days I was able to stay focused and am very pleased with my finish,” explained Carrell, Team Comp-Tac member and General Manager for Comp-Tac.
Fellow Team Comp-Tac Shooter Randi Rogers also finished strong winning the High Lady title, and 4th Master, with a final time of 332.47 seconds.
In addition to sending Team Comp-Tac Shooters to the competition, Comp-Tac Victory Gear was a stage sponsor for the IDPA Pan American Championship. “Supporting the shooting sports has always been important to Comp-Tac and by helping our international matches we get to reach a whole different set of customers across state and country lines,” commented Carrell.
Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Carrell and Rogers will compete in the USPSA Single Stack Nationals in Barry, Ill. May 7–9.
