Columbia, MO – In an effort to support youth shooting sports, the Palmyra Sportsmen’s Association, Inc., of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, has donated to the MidwayUSA Foundation. The donation of $162,001 will benefit 35 youth shooting teams that are part of the MidwayUSA Foundation’s Team Endowment Account Program. The program works to create permanent funding for youth shooting teams.
Skip Klinger, President of the Palmrya Sportsmen’s Association, spoke about the contribution. “We are very proud to be a partner with the MidwayUSA Foundation. Thanks to the generosity and vision of Larry and Brenda Potterfield we accomplished the task of increasing junior shooter numbers and endowment accounts in Pennsylvania.”
Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA, created the MidwayUSA Foundation to help communities and organizations raise funds to support their youth shooting teams and activities. Larry Potterfield said, “Working together increases the likelihood of continued financial success for these teams.” Teams with an active Team Endowment Account can draw up to 5% of their account balance each year to use for team expenses, such as ammunition, competition entry fees, travel, uniforms and more.
