Napa, Calif. The course, to be held from September 22nd through 26th, 2014 in Coquille, Oregon, is open to current AGI Professional Gunsmithing students only. Students must have successfully completed the Handguns and Rifles section of the course prior to registration.

This AGI instructor-led course consists of approximately 1/3 lecture and 2/3 hands on experience. The course content covers all types of firing pins commonly found in modern sporting firearms, rim fire and low and high pressure center fire, as well as addressing most aspects of function and fit.

Students are required to bring to the course at least three different types of firearms: one rim fire, one high power rifle and one shotgun (single shotgun is preferred). Students may bring more than three firearms if they’d like. Required tools include a set of needle files, a mill bastard file, a punch set, a small ball peen hammer (not over 4 oz.), eye protection, a dial caliper, propane or MAP GAS torch, stones, lubricant oil and cold blue. Students are also requested to bring some test fire ammunition, but be aware that there will be no ammunition in the class room.
