Ruger Announces Multiple Wins to Start the Debut Season of Professional Shooting Team

To date, the team has taken an impressive thirteen first-place, eight second-place and three third-place finishes in various shooting sports disciplines.
Beginning with the most recent, Team Ruger’s accomplishments include the following:
Randi Rogers takes the top ladies spot at the 2018 SASS End of Trail World Championship, held at the Founders Ranch in Edgewood, NM. With her pair of trusted Ruger Vaqueros at her sides, Rogers took the top world title in the Cowgirl division for the eleventh time in her career with a final score of 233.61.
“I look forward to the End of Trail competition every year because of the challenging course of fire and high level of the competitors,” said Rogers. “The reliability and accuracy of my pair of Ruger Vaqueros helped me perform at my best and take that first-place win.”
Dave Olhasso and James McGinty walk away with two first-place divisional finishes at the USPSA Area 7 match, held at the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton, NH. Olhasso took the top spot in the Limited 10 division shooting major with his 10 mm Auto SR1911® with an overall time of 217.95 and a final score of 1,343.53. McGinty claimed first place in the Single Stack division shooting his 9mm Luger SR1911 with a winning time of 199.40 and a final score 1,289.13
“This was a very demanding match, requiring focus, speed and accuracy,” commented Olhasso. “The Ruger pistols that James and I used performed flawlessly, allowing us to compete at our highest level.”
Using his SR1911 Custom Open pistol, Team Captain Doug Koenig captured the Individual Open title at the 2018 NRA World Action Pistol Championship with a perfect score of 1920-180X and brought home the second-place spot at the 2018 NRA Bianchi Cup at the Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club in Hallsville, MO with a final score of 1920-172X.
“It was an honor to bring home a world title for Team Ruger,” said Koenig. “I wanted to show off the accuracy and reliability of the SR1911 that I depend on when performance counts the most.”
Team Ruger also had strong showing at the Sig Sauer IDPA Aiming for Zero Match held in Epping, NH. Competing with the 9mm Luger SR1911, Rogers took High Lady with a final score of 277.59. Olhasso claimed second place in the PCC division coming in third overall with a score of 194.59 shooting his PC Carbine™ and McGinty took the third place spot in the iron sights category with a score of 215.67 competing with the SR1911.
Rogers finished High Lady and third ESP overall at the Texas State IDPA Championship in Wichita Falls, TX shooting the SR1911 in 9mm Luger with a final score of 191.44.
Olhasso and McGinty dominated the 2018 PSA Shootout held at the Palmyra Sportsman’s Club in Annville, PA, winning multiple top spots. Olhasso grabbed first place in the Stock Auto division with a score of 93.71 while McGinty took second place with a score of 95.48. Both were competing with the SR1911. McGinty shot a score of 80.79 to take the win in the Open Auto division and Olhasso finished in second place with a score of 81.19. McGinty also brought home a second-place finish in Stock Revolver shooting the GP100® with 6” barrel with a score of 161.25.
Rogers took High Lady at the 2018 Louisiana State IDPA Championship and finished fourth Master ESP overall with a score 234.19. She also took High Lady at the Arkansas State MVSP IDPA Championship with a score of 171.44 with the SR1911 pistol.
Getting back to her roots, Rogers finished High Overall Lady and first Cowgirl at the SASS Winter Range National Championship held at the Ben Avery Shooting Range in Phoenix, AZ shooting her trusted pair of Ruger Vaqueros and finishing with a score of 248.58. She also claimed a Lady Modern second-place finish at the Wild Bunch match shooting the SR1911.
Kicking off the start of the season, Olhasso and McGinty finished in top spots at the IDPA Artic Blast held at the Wilkes-Barre Rifle & Pistol Club in Hunlock’s Creek, PA. Olhasso took first place in the CDP division and his score of 83.88 allowed him to finish third overall with his .45 Auto SR1911. McGinty finished second in the ESP division shooting his 9mm Luger SR1911 with a score of 77.66.
