Longview PD Chooses Battle Rifle Company
(Longview, TX) – (ArmsVault.com) – Through their commitment to improve existing capabilities, the Longview Texas Police have completed their second order of rifles from Battle Rifle Company.
The BR4 Trooper was selected by the Longview PD in the standard configuration with detachable carry handle. In addition, a custom configuration was chosen to standardize the weapons in the department. The Trooper is Battle Rifle Company’s version of the military M4 Platform, and was selected as the basis for the build. Then, certain custom features were added specific to the department’s needs.
Longview, Texas is one of the largest cities located in the Northeast portion of Texas. With a population of nearly 100,000 citizens, it continues to see growth at a rapid rate. With over 230 sworn officers, the city is the county seat of Gregg County, as well as a major commercial center along the I-20 corridor.
The rifles will be issued to patrol units to increase capabilities for officers on the street. “We are looking forward to fielding more of these rifles in the future for the Longview Police,” said Chris Kurzadkowski, owner of Battle Rifle Company.
