The Masters First Shots Orientation is an introductory shooting class giving beginners the opportunity to learn basic shooting fundamentals and become familiar with the guns used during the event. Coaching the attendees through their shooting experience will be two-time Olympian and 2008 Gold Medalist Keith Sanderson. Joining Sanderson is Collin Wietfeldt, two-time Junior Olympic National Champion, along with Amber English, Alex Rennet, Sarah Beard and Tyler Froeba.

“As a partner of the USA Shooting Team, we know the extraordinary character of these athletes and we’re honored they’ll again be a part of the Shooting Industry Masters, sharing their knowledge and expertise with our attendees. Their participation enhances the Masters, making it a safe and fun environment for all our new shooters,” said Masters chairman Randy Molde.

After leading the First Shot attendees through the morning class, these six world-class shooting athletes will be offering their shooting skills to Masters teams needing a competitive edge through the Rent-A-Ringer program. Masters teams can sponsor a Rent-A-Ringer athlete for $500, adding expert skills to their team efforts. All proceeds from the program benefit the USA Shooting Team.

Open to invited industry representatives only, the 13th Annual Shooting Industry Masters, owned and operated by FMG Publications will take place July 24-25 at Claythorne Lodge in Columbus, KA. Combining handgun, rifle, shotgun and team events in a friendly, competitive format, the Shooting Industry Masters raises funds for the NSSF’s First Shots program and the USA Shooting Team. Since its inception, the Shooting Industry Masters has raised nearly $400,000 for these two organizations.
