Action Target bulks up at SHOT Show 2015
PROVO, Utah – Jan. 15, 2015 – Action Target is expanding at SHOT Show this year to accommodate the company’s growing demand with its biggest booth ever including an interactive shooting range display and new product offerings.
Action Target has absorbed its two subsidiaries (Mancom Manufacturing and Law Enforcement Targets Inc.) into a 40-foot by 70-foot booth space where its full capabilities as a provider of shooting range solutions can be showcased. The booth (#14568) will be located on the main floor next to Aimpoint Inc. and Umarex USA at the end of the hall opposite of the entrance doors.
The main feature of the booth will be a five-lane shooting range setup with Action Target’s premium Mancom AWD wireless target retrievers which visitors will be able to use on a functional track. A new range control technology will also be debuted as part of the shooting range display.
Two new steel targets will be released at the show: the E-50 Silhouette and the PT IDPA Practice Torso. The new E-50 Silhouette is the company’s first commercially available steel target capable of handling .50 BMG rounds as close as 100 yards. The new PT IDPA Practice Torso was designed in cooperation with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) as its official steel practice target. Both targets will be present at the show and will be available for purchase in the coming weeks.
Action Target will again sponsor the SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range on Monday, Jan. 19, as the event’s official target partner. The SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range Action Target Safety Award will be given to the firearms exhibitor that displays the safest handling of guns and ammunition at the event. The presentation of the award will take place at Action Target’s booth at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Action Target is also sponsoring ATAC Range Day as the event’s official target partner for the first time this year. That event will also be held Monday, Jan. 21, at Desert Sportsman’s Rifle & Pistol Club in Las Vegas and is geared toward law enforcement and military personnel.
